    “While sitting around a kitchen table in 2008, we heard a staggering statistic - every day, more than 20 million sandwich bags from school lunches go into landfills in the US. We knew that many families were looking for easy, convenient ways to be green and avoid this kind of waste. So we put our passion and energy together and 3greenmoms was born. Our mission: to design a colorful, fresh alternative to the plastic baggie. It seemed relatively easy... all we needed was a food-safe, dishwasher-friendly, moderately-attractive reusable bag. How hard could that be? Our number one priority was to find a food-safe fabric, so we went straight to the food industry.

    There, we found a very high-quality European fabric used by patisseries and bakeries certified as food-safe. Conveniently, this fabric is durable and withstands high heat, too - bingo! It can withstand repeated cycles in the dishwasher. We came up with some fresh, modern designs for those of us who want to dress up our bag lunch. Then, we found a family-owned manufacturer. It all sounds logical, right? But, after many prototypes, sleepless nights, exhausting early morning flights and late evening telephone calls, we think we’re on the right track. Getting here wasn’t easy, but alas, our LunchSkins have put a fresh face on an old idea. It’s been a family affair with husbands, kids and friends sharing advice and support on a daily basis.

  • MR.MEN + LITTLE MISS OSCAR+DEHN

    “Like many ‘start-up’s my business began at home, with lots of support from friends and family. I was loaned the use of a radio frequency welding machine in a friend’s factory and started manufacturing, bringing the products back to my flat, packing them and delivering out of my car! Within a year I employed three part-time staff to make the products and soon my important customer, Boots, asked me develop a gel bruise soother for kids. They’d seen a product in the US but there was nothing in the European market. We created a ‘Mr Bump’ bruise soother based on the fabulous and much loved Mr Men characters. Boots went crazy for it and after 9 months of product development and testing it hit the market. A first in Europe!  20 years later it’s still our best selling line.

    The Mr Men range now includes lots of comforting products for kids – plasters, thermometer, handwarmers – and we’ve taken on other licences like Moomins for Scandinavia and Barbapapa for France. It’s such a joy to see how quickly a friendly character like Mr Happy or Mr Bump brings comfort and it’s the fast way to stop tears. As we like to say Mr Bump bruise soother isn’t just a cooling gel pack...he’s a friend!”

    Joshua Lefkovitz (USA)

    The Zing Anything product line was developed in 2010 by brightdad Joshua Lefkovitz: "I worried about the quantity sugar drinks we drink but drinking natural water 'is boring' many said." He determined there was a need for a tool which would allow the consumer to create their own, uniquely infused, flavored beverage – nearly instantly.  By using all-natural ingredients to create infused water, the consumer can be confident their beverage is free from artificial ingredients and excess sugar. Zing Anything wants to make a positive contribution toward improving daily diets – both in the food we eat and the beverages we drink. Lefkovitz and his team hope their products can become a driving force in helping consumers divert from unhealthy beverage choices leading to a healthier lifestyle. With the Zing Anything products, users can avoid sugars and opt for more nutritional hydration choices utilizing all-natural ingredients.



  • DUUKIES BEACHSOCKS

    Duukies Beachsocks are developed by Dutch mother Carlien van Hemert: “being a mother of young children, I yearly got frustrated by the hot sand on the beach in Spain for my kids, and myself! The old fashion plastic beach shoe wasn’t great: sand gets in, swimming is hard and it didn’t feel comfortable. In the States I watched a professional beachvolley game on the beach, where the sporters wore type of beach socks. It appeared these didin’t exist for kids… and do the idea for Duukies Beachsocks was born! Named after our oldest son, Duuk, who is now very proud his name goes around the world. Duukies Beachsocks is about Having Fun in the Sun: protected playing with a lot of fun. No stones, sharp shells, hot sand, sun burning and slip resistant. Have Fun in the Sun with Duukies Beachsocks!”

  • PURE KIDS

    Cynthia Posthuma (The Netherlands)

    Pure Kids specializes in products made from natural materials. Some of these products seem to be made of plastic, created but that they are not. These bioplastics and are 100% biodegradable. The majority of the product is 100% in addition to, of course, also be biodegradable or compostable. Biodegradable is to say that they break down under the influence of natural elements. Compostable means that the compost products within about six months where there is guaranteed to leave no harmful substances. Why bioplastics? ... Because 'traditional' plastic is polluting petroleum based. Investing in bioplastics is to contribute to a better environment.
